There are lots of misconceptions about human growth. One is the belief that growth hormones are only present during puberty. False. These hormones are automatically generated in our system during our life span. They just happened to be stimulated best during puberty. The important thing about this is our capability of replenishing used or old cells which can aid in the reproduction of more growth hormones.
You might have read somewhere that a person experience headlong growth blasts during puberty which impels to body growth. This is due to a sudden discharge of growth hormones because of some chemical reactions at this growth stage.
Growth spurt lasts for about a year. At this stage, one may encounter height increase which could occur faster than we could ever imagine. But be mindful that once this growth spurt ceases, growth rate will be slower up to the point that a person is no experiencing any changes.
So while growth spurt is occurring, one must observe a healthy lifestyle. He or she must free himself or herself from stress and worries and exert efforts from acquiring illnesses. Being sick during this stage will give a person a lesser chance of growing tall.
To make all of these possible, take note of the things you can do. Eat vitamin-rich foods where your body will get essential nutrients. Drink plenty of water. Perform regular exercise activities. Sleep for about nine to ten hours a day.
Your stature may be hereditary but height increase still depends on you. Try to focus on things that can aid you in growing tall and stop crying over spilled milk.
